Why did you choose to study at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø?

I chose to study at the University of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø to challenge myself in a high-level, ambitious and historically meaningful academic context. I was looking for somewhere I could push myself to learn, develop and grow not only as a student but also as a global citizen. I had a nurturing, challenging but rewarding time at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø that helped me lay the foundations for my future career.

What did you most enjoy about your degree programme?

I enjoyed the professionalism of the staff and the wide range of theoretical and practical knowledge the course provided. My Masters equipped me with the tools to exercise critical thinking, as well as providing key knowledge during the course, to ultimately ensure successful entry into the corporate finance sector.

What have you been doing since graduating from ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, and what are you doing now?

I embarked on a three-year graduate programme at Mars, Inc., working across snacking, pet nutrition and veterinary health divisions. I have held several different finance roles, from Junior Finance Business Partner to Regional Financial Planning Analyst. I also spent a year as a Factory Chief Financial Officer, relocating to France for the role. Since finishing the graduate programme, I have started working as a Senior Finance and Strategy Business Partner for the snacking segment of Mars, Inc., covering the Europe and Central Asia regions.

Why did you choose this career? What do you enjoy most about your work?

I chose this career path as it exposed me to different areas of corporate finance, allowing me to tailor my future career based on practical experience across different segments and roles. What I enjoy the most is driving projects, improvements and efficiency across the business. I draw upon my professional, global and cultural experiences to ensure successful financial decision-making, considering business, organisational and cultural factors.

Looking back, which academic experiences or insights from your studies at the University of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø have proven most valuable in your career journey?

The challenging curriculum and successful alumni inspired me to push myself and aim higher, all within a supportive and collaborative environment.  I felt well-equipped to dive into the world of work after my Masters based on my experience at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.

What advice would you give to current and future students?

Absorb the theoretical knowledge, exercise critical thinking, listen to your peers' experiences and understand their background. Connect with alumni from the faculty to help guide your future choices. Allow yourself to be unique in what you do and stay true to yourself as you become a global citizen.
