ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø staff and student shortlisted for BAFTSS awards 2024

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø research has been shortlisted in two categories of the annual

Dr Lucy Fife Donaldson has been shortlisted for the best practice research awards – best videographic film criticism for her audiovisual essay "" (published in [in]Transition: Journal of Videographic Film and Moving Image Studies, 10.2, 2023). Archival research for this project was supported by the British Academy / Leverhulme small grant scheme.

Julie Jaresova (UG, 2019-2023) has been shortlisted for best essay by an undergraduate or masters student for her essay "Radioactive Aesthetics and Celluloid's Body: How can Radioactive Aesthetics Shape a Sense of Place and Time?". Julie's essay was also nominated for the Department's Anita Loos award for the most outstanding undergraduate essay in film studies.

The awards will be announced at the BAFTSS annual conference in April.
