First prize at Marienbad Film Festival
Lucy Fife Donaldson's audiovisual essay '' was selected as joint winner of the Audiovisual essay competition at this year's (12-15th June, Mariánské Láz艌e, Czech Republic). The jury (Kryštof ko膷tá艡, Magdaléna Kašparová, and Libertad Gills) split the award between Dr Donaldson and Dr Sadia Quraeshi Shepard (Wesleyan University) and her '', with a special recognition to Dan O'Brien's ''. This was the third year in which the festival has run an Audiovisual Essay competition, curated by Veronika Hanáková and Ji艡í Anger. 14 audiovisual works were selected for competition this year, from audiovisual essayists across the world.
