Changes to your studies may affect your visa

Learn what changes in your studies can impact your current visa, and who to contact before making any changes.
Your visa is issued for a specific course, location and time period. Any of the following changes can impact your visa:
- change of programme or course
- leave of absence
- mode of attendance
- change of location
- withdrawal
- extensions

Before requesting any changes to your studies, you should email advint@st-andrews.ac.uk to contact the International Advice team to discuss any potential visa impact, and also contact the University's Registry team to discuss your plans and get advice on changing circumstances:
- reg-support-pgr@st-andrews.ac.uk, if you are a postgraduate research student
- reg-support@st-andrews.ac.uk, if you are an undergraduate or postgraduate taught student.
