Three postgraduate students Luci Portugal Vidal (International Security Studies), Elena Meccariello (International Security Studies), and Reuben Fitzsimons (Strategic Studies) were selected to take part in the BISA (British International Studies Association) Model NATO 2026 and represented Bulgaria in a full day of diplomatic simulation held at the FCDO in London on the 26th of February.
They found the experience incredibly enriching. They reflected:
‘We learned so much, not only on the day itself but also during the preparation phase.’
They also agreed that the lived experience of the simulation and the time pressure:
'Give you a real sense of the demanding responsibilities NATO officials fulfil.'
