Dr Natasha Saunders Launches State of Asylum Podcast
Ahead of the upcoming Scottish election this May, the from the School of International Relations has launched The State of Asylum podcast.
Part of CCRHR’s State of Asylum Project, funded by the , project directors Dr Natasha Saunders (IR) and Professor David Herd (English) created the podcast to counter misinformation in the public realm about UK asylum policy and asylum seekers.
The podcast explores the lived realities of UK asylum policy, challenging the exclusion of the voices and experiences of asylum seekers in the public discourse. Each episode of the four-part podcast focuses on the realities of a different aspect of the asylum system: Sanctuary, Detention, Housing, and Right to Work.
