Open access means research literature that can be freely accessed by anyone in the world via the internet so that it can be used without licensing restrictions for research, teaching or other purposes. Research that is more available to read and share increases the potential for citation, reuse, and impact, which in turn benefits researchers, the University, and society.
The open access service provides support and information on all aspects of open access including help with publications budget costing in grant applications, advice on Read and Publish and legacy agreements, individual APC payments for eligible journals, funder policies, Pure deposit, and copyright.
