HR self service downtime: Monday 29 June to Thursday 2 July 2026
HR self service will be unavailable from late Monday 29 June, aiming to be available again from Thursday 2 July 2026.
This downtime is part of a project to move our current HR and Payroll system (ResourceLink) from an onsite setup to a cloud-based version with the same provider and is required for us to go-live with the cloud-based version.
What this means for all staff
You will not be able to view or update anything in HR Self Service during this period, which includes payslips, personal details, bank details and absence records. HR will also not have access to the system.
Other systems using HR data, such as QlikView, Oracle Fusion, Worktribe etc, will reflect the HR data as captured prior to the system downtime. Non-HR data in these systems will be updated as usual.
What this means for managers
If you have any changes that need to be reflected over the downtime period, these should be submitted to HR as early as possible in advance of Monday 29 June.
Normal HR processing will resume following the down time.
After the downtime
From July 2026, after the system moves to the cloud, the way you access and use self-service will stay the same, including the look and feel. The core system will remain familiar, but we will share details of some new features that staff will be able to use nearer the time.
A further period of downtime will take place early in August for a mandatory HESA upgrade. More details on this will be provided nearer the time. If anyone has any questions or problems, please use your existing HR points of contact.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
My Pay update
The improved My Pay and Bank Details area within self-service is now live and the online payslips and pay documents section has been refreshed, making it easier to navigate and download the pay documents you need.
These changes include:
- a clearer layout for monthly payslips
- easier navigation between monthly payslips
- the option to download individual or multiple payslips at once
- a new payslip format with clearly separated sections
- information on your cumulative pension contributions, now included on your payslip
- a dedicated messages section at the bottom of the payslip where we will publish useful information throughout the year
A MyPay user guide 2026 (PDF) has been created to help you navigate the new layout. The PDF is also available in self-service in the user guide section on the dashboard.
