The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. The number of credits associated with a module gives an indication of the amount of learning effort required by the learner. Module description

ET5541 Being a Doctoral Researcher is a core module in the taught phase of the Integrated PhD in TESOL, designed to support students鈥� transition into doctoral-level study. The module introduces key concepts, methodological approaches, and criteria for evaluating research in TESOL. Through lectures, discussion, and practical activities, students develop foundational research knowledge and critical skills required for the research phase of the iPhD TESOL programme.
