The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. The number of credits associated with a module gives an indication of the amount of learning effort required by the learner. Module description

The Policy-in-Practice Project involves a sustained, client-based policy project undertaken in small teams of 3–4. Students produce a professional policy report, such as an evaluation, policy report, or implementation strategy, as agreed with the client. The module emphasises applied analysis, stakeholder engagement, and professional standards of communication and delivery.
