Colour palette
Colour is a key part of our visual identity, and care should be taken when choosing appropriate colours from our palette.
Accurate reproduction of all colours is essential to maintain the high-quality appearance of the identity. Colours may vary in shade and density depending on the surface or screen to which it is applied. All colours must be matched to our approved colour swatches. Do not use a previously produced item as a colour reference. The RGB colour breakdowns vary with screen calibration.
White is also an important colour for our palette. It should be used to create space.
Web colours
For University web pages, the digital colours are based on the palette below. However, some colours are slightly adjusted for web accessibility purposes.

There are four primary colours that make up the University of St Andrews corporate identity, with St Andrews Blue being the core colour featuring at the forefront of most University products.
