Biography
Dr Giulia Giunti is a Lecturer in the Department of Management of the University of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Business School.
She has earned a PhD from the University of Birmingham (UK) (with 'no corrections'), where she also completed a Masters degree. She also holds a BSc and an MSc from the University of Pisa (Italy).
Research
Dr Giunti's research sits on the intersection of Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, and Psychology. In her research she adopts both qualitative and quantitative methods.
Current and published research focuses on themes around work-life interface, well-being, entrepreneurship, work identity.
1. Work-life interface: on this theme, Dr Giunti is PI of a comparative study of work-life interface across demographic groups, for which she has won a grant from the University of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. The project is a collaborative work with Prof. Donnelly and Dr Radcliffe from the University of Liverpool (UK).

2. Entrepreneurship: on this theme, she has conducted a cross-country mixed-methods study on academic entrepreneurship, drawing on the concept of work identity, and contributing to the literature of entrepreneurship with a redefinition of academic entrepreneurship through a social entrepreneurship lens. This work originates from Dr Giunti's PhD project, which was funded by ESRC.

3. Well-being: Dr Giunti is conducting a study on wellbeing in the UK Police, for which she has won, as co-PI, a 'research and impact' grant from the University of Durham (2025).
During her PhD, Dr Giunti has worked at collateral projects, including the commissioned work on housing and well-being, for which she developed the online survey. This work has been used in the thinkthank ThinkBritain2019 to inform housing policy after Grenfell, London (UK).

2025. Co-PI on a research project on wellbeing in the Uk Police, University of Durham, supported by a Research and Impact grant.
2025. She was part of a research team which has been awarded the Constructive Advanced Thinking Programme 2025-2027.
2023-2024. She has won a grant, as co-PI, for a collaborative project with the University of Padua (Italy) focused on teaching and assessment 'beyond chatgpt', to explore and share best innovative pedagogical pratices between the Italian and the UK HE systems.
Externally, she also held a position as visiting PhD student at the University of Melbourne's Business School, funded through an ESRC grant.
2024-2025. She has been invited and served as panel member judge for two UK National Family Businesses Awards.
