Graduation locations
On the day of graduation, graduates and their guests will visit several locations.
Celebrations are held in some of the University's most historic and significant spaces.

Younger Hall
Younger Hall is the main venue for graduation ceremonies at the University, located in the centre of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. It is named after James and Annie Younger, local philanthropists and benefactors of the University.
Opened in 1929 by HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, the hall was recently renovated as part of a £12 million project.
St Salvator's Quadrangle
At the end of the graduation ceremonies at Younger Hall, the academic procession makes its way to St Salvator's Quadrangle, where families and friends of the graduates wait to congratulate them. The procession winds its way around the lawn, allowing everyone to see and appreciate the new graduates' achievements.
The quadrangle itself is a stunning space, surrounded by beautiful architecture and historic buildings, including St Salvator's Chapel, which dates back to the 15th century.
Buchanan Building
The Buchanan Building is the main collection point for guest graduation tickets before the summer ceremonies.
Parliament Hall
Parliament Hall is the main venue for winter graduation photography.
It was originally called the University’s Public School and was used for classes and examinations. It was renamed Parliament Hall after the Scottish Parliament sat here in 1645 due to an outbreak of plague in Edinburgh and other Scottish cities.
St Salvator's Hall
The Tempest Marquee on St Salvator's Hall lawn is where students can go for their own stage photos and media after the ceremonies.
