Biography

I joined ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø in March 2024 after the completion of my PhD at University of Liverpool where I also gained my BA and MRes qualifications. I'm originally from Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire - just an hour's drive from ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø along the A91.

Research areas

I am currently working with Prof Nicki Hitchcott (University of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø) and Dr Alice Karekezi (University of Rwanda) on the deportation of Métis children from Ruanda-Urundi carried out by the Belgian state in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The focal point of our research is uncovering the stories of the mothers of the stolen children.
