ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Biodiversity Internships
Academic year 2026-2027
Applications will open in Semester 2.
The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø biodiversity internships let you experience and contribute to University of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø projects linked to the environmental sustainability strategy, committing the University to reach net-zero by 2035. 
They are delivered by the University’s and take place over the summer.
All interns are paid the National Living Wage.

These internships are open to all registered undergraduates and postgraduates at the University of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
Benefits
The internships will give you insight into an organisational working environment within the field of sustainable development, helping you apply for future sustainability related graduate opportunities. They will also give you many key transferable skills useful in any career.
Once your internship has ended, undergraduate and postgraduate taught students will be able to apply for an Internship Experience Certificate, which recognises the experience you have gained on your academic transcript.  
Applying
When applications open, apply on CareerConnect. Submit your CV a²Ô»å  cover letter stating how you meet the requirements of the internship and what you'd like to gain from the experience.    
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview with the host.
Hours of work
A standard, full-time working week is 35 hours, though you should read the job description for your specific hours. You will be able to set a schedule that works for you and your host. Key dates or times you need to work will be clearly agreed.   
You must ensure you can work the hours of the internship while meeting the demands of your course of study. You must also abide by any visa rules.
